What You’ll Need
Making your own Advent calendar bracelet set is a fun way to get creative this Christmas! Here’s what you’ll need:
-elastic band or string
-wire strippers or scissors
-ruler or measuring tape
-saw or x-acto knife
Step 1. Trace the outline of the Advent calendar onto a piece of paper. If you’re using a preexisting calendar, be sure to cut out the relevant pages beforehand.
Step 2. Cut out the traced template and use it as a guide to create your own bracelet clasp. Use pliers to bend the elastic band into the desired shape, and then clip off any excess strings.
Step 3. To make wiring easier, cut two pieces of wire about 6 inches long each, and strip one end of each wire bare. Twist one end of each wire around the elastic band once or twice, making sure that it’s secure, and then Crimp onto Both Ends with Pliers (see photo). Bend Wire Ends Up if Necessary (see photo). Repeat on other side of Elastic Band.
Step 4. If you’d like to add extra sparkle to your Advent bracelets, saw small holes in each end of every crystal bead before adding them to your clasp (see photo). Sand down Holes After Bracelets are Finished if Necessary (see photo
If you’re looking for a fun and festive way to decorate your Christmas tree, consider making your own DIY Christmas Advent Calendar bracelets set! These are simple to make andrequire just a few supplies.
To make the bracelet sets, you’ll need:
-Two 8-inch pieces of yarn or string
-One large bead or button
-Ruler or measuring tape
- Start by cutting both pieces of yarn or string equal in length. Make sure each piece has a loop at the end so that it can be easily closed once it’s been assembled. You’ll also want to make sure there is enough space between each bead on the bracelet so that they don’t overlap. To do this, measure the circumference of your wrist (or any other size you would like to wear the bracelet) and multiply by 2.5. This will give you the approximate amount of space between each bead on your bracelet. 2. Clip off any excess yarn or string from one end of each piece of yarn or string. 3. Thread one piece of yarn or string through one end of each bead, then close the ends of the yarn or string together to form a loop (like you would do when tying a knot). 4. Do this with the second piece of yarn or string, closing off each end with a knot before returning them to their original position on your wrist (or wherever you plan on placing them
Tips and Tricks
If you’re like me, you love a good DIY project. And what’s better than a festive DIY project that can be done in just a few minutes? The DIY Christmas Advent Calendar bracelets set is just the kind of project that will get you in the holiday spirit.
To make these bracelets, all you need are some supplies:
-6 small elastic band strings
-a needle and thread
-(optional) embellishments, such as beads or feathers
- Start by cutting the elastic band strings to the desired length. I cut mine about 18 inches long.
- Take one end of each string and tie them together in a knot. Then, insert the knot into one of the bracelet openings on one side of your bracelet. Push it through until it comes out the other side, then pull tight to secure. Repeat on both sides of your bracelet.
- Next, take the remaining ends of each string and tie them together in a knot again. This time, twist the two strands together so that they form an “S” shape. Cross this “S” over each other at its topmost point, then tuck it underneath one of the elastic band slots on your bracelet (see photo). You’ll now have two straps attached to each side of your bracelet (see photo).
